With Asher Levine, we built a fully animated LED motorcycle jacket for the Museum of Modern Art’s 2017 exhibition “Items: Is Fashion Modern?”
The jacket has more than 12,000 individually addressable LEDs, video-mapped to the body, and wirelessly transmits the rider’s turn and brake signals. It runs entirely headless, with every animation and all of the mapping data stored on an embedded ARM processor.
